Old Annapolis Road Hiking Trail

This looped 2.6-km trail is well maintained by the Bowater Mersey Paper Company year-round. Walking, hiking, cycling and, in the winter, cross country skiing or snow shoeing are all permitted on this trail.

The trail travels through a forest of white birch, fir, pine and maple trees with wooden bridges crossing over the Island Lake many times. This area offers a number of scenic viewpoints and species of wildlife to enjoy. Look for signs of porcupines, as they are popular in this area. The trail has some wet spots during periods of rain.

Shore Club website The Shore Club is Nova Scotia's "Last Great Dance Hall" located next door in Hubbards.  Every Saturday night throughout the summer enjoy the best in Classic and Contemporary Rock, Blues, R & B, Reggae, Swing, and Big Band.

Hubbards Barn & Community Park website We are very fortunate to have the Hubbards Barn & Community Park in our neighbourhood.  The Farmer's Market is open Saturday mornings from May to October and features plenty of baked goods, local organic meats and produce, plants, and works from local artisans.
The Barn also hosts various community events and features a weekly movie night.

Freewheeling Adventures website Freewheeling Adventures offers bicycle tours, sea-kayak paddling trips, or multisport adventures.  They also have a beautiful boathouse overlooking St. Margaret's Bay where yoga lessons are offered.

Pedal and Sea website Pedal & Sea Adventures is located right around the corner and offers bike rentals, cycling or kayaking day tours on Nova Scotia's South Shore.

Peggy's Cove Coastal Region website Peggy's Cove Coastal Region encompasses the whole of St. Margaret's Bay and the Surfside Inn is located right in the middle of the Region.  Visit this website for complete details of area attractions and why St. Margaret's Bay is your perfect year round destination.
